New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1070 BC.
An Egyptian carnelian standing pharaoh-shaped amulet made in naturalistic manner. The amulet demonstrates all of the attributes of the pharaoh such as the Nemes headdress and the cobra on the forehead. The arms are pressed close to the sides and the left leg is advanced, typical of Egyptian statuary. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.

Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014, acquired from Jacques Billen private collection, 2007. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
