A LATE REGENCY MARINE CHRONOMETER the brass case with later fitted stand enclosing a 3.5" signed silvered dial and Roman numerals surrounding a subsidiary seconds dial and power reserve aperture fronting a chain-driven fusee movement with Z-balance wheel detent escapement and Harrison maintaining power - James Scrymgeour was a well know horologist who invented the three-ball mercurial balance wheel with glass spring which can be seen in the British museum. (13.5cm high )
