Description
This sword is featured as sword E-9 in Warren Moore's "Weapons of the American Revolution". Slightly curved Spanish-style blade with three narrow fullers along top on both sides. Brass hilt with five piercings on guard and a counter branch on right side. Ball pommel. Curved cherry grip with bulbous sections. Complete with its original tooled brown leather scabbard with plain brass mounts. CONDITION: Blade retains a mostly bright surface with some scattered darker areas and a few nicks to cutting edge. Hilt retains a pleasing mustard patina and is tight to blade. Grip shows some age cracks and minor chips. Scabbard very good with some minor crazing and scuffs. back shows some losses to surface. PROVENANCE: Ex. Warren Moore Collection. Blade Length: 33 - 1/2" Overall Length: 39 - 3/4"
