The Laurel and Hardy poster has paper loss at the corners around pinhole tears, along with some liquid staining scattered on the lower half. There is also a tiny tear in the bottom edge that has been repaired with archival tape. The Clark Gable poster is in better condition but has a tear on the top edge and some minor scattered crimps. The beautiful gloss is retained on these outstanding posters.

During the mid-1930s, MGM Studios was known for its innovative advertising techniques, especially when promoting its movie stars. They created a stunning collection of personality posters, featuring glossy photo-gelatin images of their famous actors and actresses. These posters were designed in a vertical half-sheet size and were quite popular among exhibitors and fans. Additionally, another pair of these posters is included in this auction.
