This photograph, trimmed to the image, is in generally very good condition. When viewed in raking light, the following can be seen: an overall faint craquelure pattern across the sheet; a small circular area measuring 1/4-inch diameter near the figure's left thigh; and a few scattered pinpoint-sized deposits of original retouching. Under close examination, a 1/4-inch diameter circular area near the lower right corner can be seen, possibly a deposit of retouching. There is very minor edge and corner wear.

On the reverse, the edges are appropriately age-darkened. The credit stamp in red ink reads: 'Photograph by / Martin Munkacsi / 5 Prospect Place / New York City / Murray Hill 4-2443.' The left edge is hinged to the window mat. Sold framed.
