Condition
This gelatin silver print, trimmed to the image and mounted to card, is in generally excellent condition. The following are visible in raking light: a hairline scratch in the upper left quadrant; scattered small deposits of original retouching; pinpoint-sized impressions; and a 1/4-inch linear impression in the lower left quadrant. The top left corner of the print is slightly creased. The mount is appropriately age-darkened.
On the reverse, the following are written in pencil in various hands: 'Shell, 1927'; '1S'; and '774.' There are adhesive remnants at the upper edge. The lower edge is soiled. Sold framed.
