THE BLUE LAGOON

Italian 2-Fogli (39" x 55")
Very Good- Folded; Artwork by Anselmo Ballester
Eagle -Lion Films, 1949

Remade in 1980, this first version of the story by Henry De Vere Stacpoole was a British production. This lush image by the master, Anselmo Ballester, depicts the stars in the shipwrecked environment they are stranded in.

There is significant separation down the centerfold, and the border has several holes besides chipping. Brown kraft paper tape has been used on two corners.

The Blue Lagoon is an American romance from 1949 directed by Frank Launder. It stars Jean Simmons and Donald Houston and chronicles the coming-of-age tale of a boy and girl shipwrecked on a tropical island.
