The American Aces Speak. The American Aces Speak was a series of books by military historian Eric Hammel that brought fresh first-person accounts from fighter aces who blasted their way across the skies of North Africa, the Mediterranean, and northern and southern Europe in the great crusade against Hitler's vaunted Luftwaffe and the other Axis air forces. The book, Aces Against Japan, Pacifica Press, 1992, signed on a special book plate, affixed to the first end-paper, by Besby F Holmes (1917-2006) and Robert L. Scott (1908-2006).Scott has signed a second time as “Bob Scott.” Holmes took part in the famous mission to kill legendary Japanese admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, who planned the attack on Pearl Harbor. Scott was credited with shooting down 13 Japanese aircraft. The dust jacket and the book are pristine.
