Title "Going to fair:

A nice size with the frame being 46 cm width and 25.5cm high.

Subject beautiful British genre scene in side profile of 2 elegant horses pulling a carriage riding along the road, with a coachman holding the reigns sitting at the front of the carriage, he is wearing a light brown coat and a black top hat, a lady passenger is sitting next to him in a pink dress and behind her a gentleman is also sitting wearing a black coat and top hat. They are going to the fair, with views of open green countryside with trees on either flank and green grass vegetation along the road path verge. With blue and white sky overhead.

Philip H. Rideout was a British painter born in 1850 he died in 1920. Philip H. Rideout's paintings have been sold at auction many times, the record price for this artist at auction is 2,400 USD for works: Coach and Four with Passengers Passing an Open Field; Coach and Four in an Inn's Yard, sold at Leland Little Auction & Estate Sales in 2011.
