Henryk Stazewski, born in 1894 and passed away in 1988, was a Polish painter and sculptor who played a significant role in the classical avant-garde of the 1920s and 1930s
He was a representative of the Constructivist movement, which emphasized the use of geometric forms and industrial materials in art
Stazewski studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1913 to 1920
His art is associated with Polish avant-garde art, and he is considered a pioneer in the European avant-garde
There have been exhibitions dedicated to Stazewski's art, such as the exhibition "Henryk Stazewski. Late Style" at the Muzeum Sztuki w Lodzi
Provenance: Purchased from current Owner from Ewa Pape. Ewa Pape has been the organizer and sponsor of several dozen exhibitions of Polish painting, sculpture and photography in America. Even though she did not have her own gallery, she managed to exhibit in galleries and museums in the United States such artists as: Berdyszak, Dlubak, Dobkowski, Brzozowski, Fangor, Gierowski, Kantor, Gostomski, Lebenstein, Nikifor, Nowosielski, Starowieyski, Stazewski, and Winiarsk
