Description

Description Colt's PT. F.A. Mfg. Co. 12 gauge hammer gun chambered for 2-3/4" shells. This example dating to 1882 features 30" Damascus barrels choked MOD/CYL, solid concave rib with single bead, knurled hammers and release lever, double triggers, "Colt's Pt F A Mfg Co" marked side plates, and finely checkered hardwood forearm and stock with Rampant Colt logo. LOP=14-1/4", DOC=2-5/8", DOH=3-3/4", OAL=46-5/8", and WT=8.2 lbs. Antique and ships direct to buyer. Condition: Excellent overall condition showing a nice aged patina and impressive Damascus folds. There is wear from use especially to the checkering and there are some marks in the stocks. The forend shows wear on the left side about an inch from the end. The bores still shine with evident corrosion marks that are more prominent towards the chambers. The lockup is tight and hammers strong and crisp.
