DESCRIPTION: Gilt bronze travel desk featuring writing slope, blue velvet writing surface, blue and white silk lining, pen holder, two inkwells, inset tiger's eye specimens, and two handles.
CIRCA: Late 19th - early 20th century
ORIGIN: Probably French
DIMENSIONS: H: 6.5" W: 9.5" L: 11.5"
CONDITION: Lacking key, pens, and letter opener. Velvet has moderate tears, scratches, losses, and other wear. Lid to interior compartment is lacking its pull and cannot be opened easily. One divider between the pen tray and one inkwell does not fit in place. Minor wear to silk lining and leather, consistent with age and use. Minor and moderate scratches to exterior, consistent with age and use. Fabric at underside of desk has tears, fraying, losses, and other wear, consistent with age and use.
