"The Catch" refers to a legendary moment in baseball history during the 1954 World Series. Willie Mays, playing center field for the New York Giants, made a spectacular over-the-shoulder catch while sprinting toward the outfield wall, robbing the Cleveland Indians' Vic Wertz of what would have been a game-changing hit.
