"To Kill A Mockingbird" 35th Anniversary Ed. Signed by Gregory Peck
Signed Ltd. Ed. Book

A 35th Anniversary Edition of "To Kill A Mockingbird" signed by actor Gregory Peck. New York: Harper Collins, 1995. Special 35th Anniversary Edition. Octavo, 323pp. Signed on the dedication page, "Gregory Peck 2-18-98." Black boards with the original anniversary dustjacket. A very fine book, internally clean and crisp. Minimal shelf wear to the dust jacket, with light soiling to the back cover. Boldly signed by Peck.

To Kill a Mockingbird became an immediate bestseller and won the 1961 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. The New Yorker declared it "skilled, unpretentious, and totally ingenious", and it has become one of the best-loved classics of all time. In 1962, the book was adapted into a film starring Gregory Peck, directed by Robert Mulligan. It went on to be nominated for eight Oscars and won three: Best Actor for Gregory Peck, Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Black-and-White, and Best Screenplay for Horton Foote. In 1995, the film was listed in the National Film Registry, and in 2003, the American Film Institute named Atticus Finch the greatest movie hero of the 20th century. Peck described the book as "a universal story ? moving, passionate and told with great humor and tenderness."
