An engraved lithograph from 1856 featuring the text from the Declaration of Independence in an oval cartouche, surrounded by portraits of each U.S. President to date. 1 sheet, measuring 19.25" x 23". Philadelphia: Illman & Sons, 1859. Entitled "The Declaration of Independence and Portraits of the Presidents", with the additional caption, "Ledger Carrier's Annual Greeting To Their Subscribers." The surrounding portraits include George Washington through to James Buchanan. The broadside has tears at the center of the top and bottom edges. Further wear to all edges. Soiling, foxing, and light toning throughout. Pin holes at the corners. Displays nicely, good condition.
