Paul Nadar, 1856-1939, figlio di Felix, si dedicò soprattutto ai ritratti, interessandosi particolarmente alle persone dello spettacolo.Leon Gaumont dedica la fotografia a Henry Gabriel Aschel, divenuto nel 1926 Direttore dei Laboratori Acustici della Casa Cinematografica Gaumont: “a Henri Aschel en souvenir de sa bonne collaboration”. Tracce d’uso alla legatura, internamente buono stato di conservazione. Libro d’arte miniato, con ritratto fotografico di Nadar e dedica con firma di L. Gaumont. Omaggio al fondatore della Casa di produzione cinematografica francese da parte dei suoi collaboratori, nel giorno in cui lascia la direzione effettiva della Gaumont. Compaiono i nomi di tutti i direttori e responsabili di servizi tecnici. In antiporta il ritratto fotografico di Leon Gaumont, splendidamente realizzato da P. Nadar, che pone la sua firma in basso a destra. Sotto, la dedica autografa con firma dello stesso L. Gaumont: “… avec remerciements a son collaborateur Henry Aschel – 1930”.

Splendid portrait of the founder of Gaumont, the French film production company created in July 1895 under the name "L. Gaumont et Companie". Tribute to the founder of the French film production house by his collaborators, on the day he leaves the effective management of Gaumont. The names of all directors and heads of technical services appear. On the frontispiece the photographic portrait of Leon Gaumont, splendidly done by P. Nadar, who places his signature in the lower right corner. Below, the autograph dedication signed by L. Gaumont himself: “… avec remerciements a son collaboratour Henry Aschel – 1930”.
