Capolettera ornata. Data in testa alla carta 2r “Veneris 15. Decembris 1634”. Buona conservazione.Importante fonte storica sull’Ordine di Malta. Riguarda il diritto di indossare la Croce d’Oro, giacché non compare nella Regola stabilita da Raimondo de Podio, in cui si parla solo della croce bianca, ’Crux Alba’. I Frati Serventi possono indossare l’abito dei cavalieri ma non la Croce aurea. 4to large. 270x185 mm. 4 leaves, including title page, verso of the title-page blank. Large coat of arms of Pope Urban VIII on the Titlepage. Ornate Initial. Date at the top of leaf 2r “Veneris 15. Decembris 1634”. Good condition.
Important historical source on the Order of Malta. It concerns the right to wear the Golden Cross, since it does not appear in the Rule established by Raimondo de Podio, which only speaks of the white cross, 'Crux Alba'.
