Fioriture più o meno evidenti. A c. 125 cancellature di testo in inchiostro bruno che rendono difficile la lettura del verso. Buon esemplare. Rara e importante edizione figurata. Testo di lingua. Il vocabolario di F. Alunno fu il primo precursore di quello della Crusca. L’opera, dedicata al Cardinale Farnese, è ornata da un superbo ritratto dell’A. al Front. e da una notevole impresa tipografica allegorica in fine. Leaves 395 (including titlepage), one unnumbered leaf; woodcut portrait on titlepage, woodcut printer’s device on the last leaf. Woodcut initials and ornaments, text on two columns. Handwritten Ex Libris on titlepage in brown ink. Foxing. On l. 125 erasures of text in brown ink that make it difficult to read the verse. Good specimen.
Rare and important illustrated edition. Language text. Alunno’s vocabulary was the first precursor of the Crusca’s vocabulary. The work, dedicated to Cardinal Farnese, it is adorned with a beautiful portrait of the author on titlepage and with a stunning printer’s device at the end.
