Antique map. The world map in Gustaf Vasa's Bible - as far as is known, the first map printed in Sweden in 1541. It is placed in the book of the prophet Daniel, the seventh chapter. Here you can also find the text of Daniel's book, a total of about 20 pages. Gustaf Vasa's Bible was printed in Stockholm in 1541. This contains what is known to be the first map printed in Sweden. It is a world map in woodcut, and the log is probably of German origin.. It is placed in the Book of Daniel, Chapter VII. Of the North, only fragments are visible. a cape above the four-headed panther; otherwise, the habitable part of the earth is surrounded by the world ocean. Bibliographic ref.
