Chinese Qing Dynasty Period Yongzheng famille rose Bajixiang bowl. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, of a shallow vessel, broad wide cavetto, with a straight opening lip, raised on a small round, slightly raised concave footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the famille rose design color. Famille rose hand painting depicted vividly hand painted in enamel design, famille rose translates to the pink family, on a colored ground decoration. Each bulging sides enclosing colorful falangcai, famille rose on a colored ground decoration, of Bajixiang. The Exterior adorned with abundant lotus flowers blooms interspersed with interlocking tendril among auspicious Chinese ornament. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind. It also represents long life and honor. The lotus flower is depicted in Chinese art, poetry and?architecture. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process left unglazed with grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed with double fine blue rings, Made In The Years of Yongzheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
