All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the famille rose design color. Colorful colors around the exterior, between the filling motif with various flower blooms. Flowers of the Four Seasons: In the Chinese culture, specific flowers represent the seasons. winter: Plum Blossom, Spring: Peony, Summer: Lotus, Fall: Chrysanthemum. The health and condition of the flower also conveys meaning in the Chinese culture.
