Chinese Qing Dynasty QianLong Blue and Yellow Lotus Porcelain Moon Bottle Vase On Carved Hardwood Stand. Potted in moon vase, thick and tall, with bulbous lower region, moon round belly, sweeping up into a slender neckline and straight mouth rim, emerge two archaic ruyi handles flanked from neck to the shoulder rim, create majestic handles, raised on short rectangle foot base with slight concave footing. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in yellow base colour which contrast against blue colour, depicted of abundant lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
