Chinese Qing Dynasty Blue and White Porcelain Mushroom Vase. Potted in cylindrical shaped vase, large, thick and tall body, long neck with wide flaring mouth rim, raised on ring foot base rim slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base colour which contrast against blue colour, depicted of many peacock flying through flower bloom and interlocking tendril. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.
