Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Kangxi Blue and White Porcelain Mushroom Vases. Potted in shape vase, thick and tall ovoid body, flaring mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of many steward in various pursuit on the palace garden. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Kangxi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
