Chinese Ming Dynasty Longquan Porcelain Large Brush Wash Pot. Potted with a shallow body, slight deep, flaring open round centre, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Warm and uniform green colour applied to the whole surface. The Longquan celadons is a type of green-glazed Chinese and were among the finest of a range of celadon wares produced in China, and led stylistic and technical developments. The celadons were produced in a range of shades of colour, centred on olive-green, but extending to greenish blues and browns. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
