Chinese Qing Dynasty KangXi Blue and White Brush Pot. Potted in cylindrical, round and straight body, close mouth lip, raised with round flat foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered all in white and blue color, depicted of many elders on the palace garden terrace art feast festival. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings. Made in The Years of KangXi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
