Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Apple Green Glazed Porcelain Gourd Bottle Vase. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a cylindrical neck, raised on short ring foot base and slighty concave. Warm and uniform Douqing glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Green is the most important variety of China?s porcelain. Green stands for health, prosperity, and harmony. In Chinese culture, green stands for cleanliness and purity from contamination. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
