In her captivating artworks, Masters typically combines a range of organic materials with found objects including timepieces, optical lenses, banknotes and costume jewellery. Through the innovative reimagining of materials within her compositions, discarded and redundant objects - once considered obsolete or worthless - are infused with new layers of meaning and value. Masters' installations are remarkable for their ability to encapsulate a single moment in time. Skilfully constructed using delicate nylon threads, the butterflies and petals in the work offered for sale are poetically suspended in both time and motion. In this work, Masters confronts the inevitable process of decay, crafting an enchanting and beautiful illusion of timelessness. The gently falling leaves and fluttering butterflies are ethereally fixed in time - a fleeting instant halted and elegantly conserved to captivate and immerse the viewer. Masters graduated from Staffordshire University in 2004 and subsequently studied at post-graduate level in London. She has exhibited widely throughout the UK and Europe, and is currently represented internationally by Les Galeries Bartoux. Condition Report: The butterflies and hydrangea petals are suspended on nylon threads in a deep frame with a perspex front and back. A couple of broken threads upper centre and in the upper left corner but overall the work presents well. There is a little dust and dirt trapped at the bottom of the frame.
