BIOGRAPHY:
Alexey Mosolov was born on March 20, 1922 in Serpukhov, Moscow Region. In 1952 he graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute named by V. I. Surikov, the of department of easel painting. He started his creative work in 1952. Mosolov used to work in the genres of thematic paintings, portraits, landscapes, he gave preference to portraits of his contemporaries. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1975. One of the organizers of the city children's art school in Serpukhov, the first director of the school (1969-1971). Participant of exhibitions such as: All-Union exhibition of diploma works (1952), reporting exhibitions of works by Serpukhov artists (1958, 1960), exhibitions of works by artists of the Moscow region (1954, 1960, 1972), regional exhibitions of works by WWII veteran artists (1978, 1980, 1985).
