Description
This 100% bronze abstract representation shows the early taming of thehorse and buffalo. It shows the man in a primitive purity on top ofthe tangled mess symbolizing his dominance over both by riding theirbacks. It looks as though the man was riding bareback on the horsetrying to wrangle the buffalo only for all to collide into anexquisite piece of art. The strong buffalo bucks up onto his hind legstrying to rid himself of the unwanted weight. The horse is helplesslywrapped around the shoulders of the buffalo like a shawl. Whilethe dominant man effortlessly holds onto the mane of the horse withboth hands balancing himself with grace. This image was molded byusing the lost-wax method of casting. This powerful sculpture isfinished with brown patina and is mounted upon a black marble basesigned by the artist Frederic Remington
