Description
Stan Robinson, American, 1927 to 1999, a Post Impressionist acrylic on textured canvas painting depicting a man making a duck decoy, 1981. Signed and dated lower right. Framed. Note: Stan Robinson studied at the Phoenix School of Design in New York City. He went on to work as an art director for a New York art studio, before moving to North Carolina and settling in the Outer Banks. His move to the Carolina’s opened his eyes to a wealth of subject matter from ships at sea, seagulls in flight, children on the beach to many other bold and moody eastern scenes. His trademark style of uni-directional brush strokes over roughly textured canvases helps to create and capture light and mood in his chosen scenes. Stan always felt life is an endless wonder and a precious gift. His paintings are in the collections of the South Carolina Museum of Art and the Museum of Albermarle. One of a kind artwork. Mid Century American Paintings And Wall Decor Collectibles.
