Detailed Description : This beautiful bronze figure of a fox and pheasant is mounted onto a marble base, stands 10" high, and is inscribed E. Truffot, dark brown patina. Born in Valenciennes in 1843, Emile Louis Truffot studied sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon from 1863, and he won the Prix de Rome in 1867/68.
