Description
China, 960-1279. The slender ovoid body supported on a short foot and rising to a broad lipped rim form, covered in a lustrous russet-brown glaze extending to the interior of the vase and stopping irregularly above the foot. The base and foot unglazed, revealing the buff ware.
Provenance: New York trade.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, few light surface scratches, and manufacturing flaws including a firing crack to the inner wall.
