Description
Native American, Southwestern United States, Santo Domingo Pueblo, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A collection of turquoise, coral, and shell jewelry which includes a pair of earrings, a choker necklace with a push clasp, and 2 sets of jaclas. The earrings are wearable and have sterling silver cone terminals and steel wire hooks. The necklace is wearable, but cotton thread may need to be replaced / restrung. Jaclas are two loops of heishi beads traditionally worn as earrings or fastened to the bottom of a necklace as a pendant ornament. One is a double strand Jacla, with nacre shell at the center with white and orange hues - and the other jacla has heishi shell beads at the center. The larger jacla loops are not attached, the terminal end cords have unraveled, but they can easily be reknotted with some added floss threads. Size of necklace: 17.5" L (44.4 cm); central nugget bead: 0.5" W (1.3 cm)

Vintage, pre-owned condition. Age and use expected chips to beads. Necklace threads are fraying and should be restrung to be more secure. Jalca loops with larger beads is not attached together and could be reknotted / new floss thread added to secure the loops together. Earrings are wearable. Smaller jacla is wearable as a pendant.
