Item Details
Description
The Boston & Worcester and Western railroads merged in 1867 to form the Boston & Albany Railroad. Both early divisions continued to use their own hardware for many years after the merger. The initials stand for: "B&W Div" = Boston & Worcester Division. The "S" is for Switch. This is the fat barrel keying that is earlier than the joint use keys used later.
