Description
Most Likely Dating Back To The 1400's, This Out Of Polish, 16 Inch Long, Wakizashi Sports A Blade Shape Known As Shonbuzukuri. While The Range Appears Uncut It Has Two Peg Holes. The Two Piece Copper Habaki Is Covered In Gilded Silver Foil. The Tsuba And Hilt Fittings Are Made Of Black Shakudo With The Fuchi Being Signed. The Same Grip Is Intact But The Silk Wrapping Has Begun To Separate And Fray. The Shakado And Fire Gilt Menuki Are Of An Unknown Type Of Flora, Missing Pieces Of Lacquer, The Black Scabbard Still Retains A Signed Side Knife Complete With A Copper Fire Gilded Kozuka Depicting The 12 Animals Of The Zodialogical Calendar. Worth Noting Is That This Blade Still Fits Quite Snuggly In Its Scabbard.
