Antique 18kt Amethyst Ring, Sz. g, Art Deco, Unusual Cut. It is set across the finger - like a wide marquise but inside of curved sides it has angled sides, with flat tips where there would be points, and an oval table. It is appx. 13mm across the top of the finger and 7mm at the middle across the stone. It is appx. 1.86 ctw. It i is difficult to get exact measurements in the setting and given the design of the cut. Double prongs hold the stones on the tips and at the middle. Filigree sides and slightly down the band. The stone sits up appx. 5mm on top of the finger. The ring is appx. 7.8m down the finger and 14mm across the top of the finger and tapers to 1mm at the back of the finger. It is marked 18kt and tested, 1.64 gr. It is signed with a circle mark that looks like a 5 and perhaps a 7 with something else inside the circle. Date of this right is estimated at appz. 1920's-1930's. Very good condition.
