Attributed to Richard "Dick" Polich (US 1932-2022). Mr. Polich often created whimsical pieces, for his own creative amusement , and/or to test certain alloys or finishes. He often turned everyday forms or commonly used objects into works of experimental art. It is believed that this is one such example. Note that the title is of our own devising- "Screwball" was another suggestion. Provenance: Collection of Dick Polich, Polich Tallix Fine Art Foundry. Polich and Tallix produced significant sculptural works over many years. He is known to have produced art with artists such as, Willem de Kooning, Jeff Koons, Roy Lichtenstein, Frank Stella, Helen Frankenthaler, ERTE, Julian Schnabel, Richard Artschwager, Isamu Noguchi, and many others.
