Print (sight): 13.5 x 10 cm; frame (longest/widest points): 29 x 17.5 cm. Generally good condition, various imperfections. *** Louis Thors (1841-1910) was a Dutch-American photographer. Thors became interested in photography and opened a studio on Larkin Street in San Francisco, soon upgrading to a larger studio on Grant Street as his recognition grew. However, Thors' new studio, business, archive, and home were destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. Four years later, Thors died of cancer.
