WWII U.S. MILITARY LARGE FORMAT "GRAFLEX SEES THE WAR" PHOTOGRAPHIC POSTERS, LOT OF NINE, from a series of propaganda posters distributed to help sell War Bonds, each mounted on thick cardstock, prints of photos taken in the field by US Navy, Marines, US Army Signal Corps, and Coast Guard servicemen for the 4th Edition of "Graflex Sees The War" in collaboration with the War Activities Committee-Motion Picture Industry, with titles/subjects including "Flame, Camera, Action - Guam", "Clearing Nazi Land Mines - France", "105mm Howitzers In Action, Guam", "Hide and Seek with Death, Saipan", and "The Nip Tide Ebbs on Saipan" depicting a dead Japanese soldier. Circa 1945. 13" x 9 3/4" photos, 20" x 16" boards OA.
Condition
Good condition overall, with light to moderate wear and bending to edges of each, perhaps some small surface tears or losses to cardstock, and moderate foxing and brown discoloration throughout.
