CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN FIGURAL HEAD HUMIDORS, LOT OF FIVE, each having polychrome hand-painted decorations, comprising an Ottoman woman with headscarf, a motorist wearing exaggerated goggles, a conductor wearing a red cap with "Express" to front, and two young man bisque examples including a soldier and one wearing a straw boater hat, four having sponge holder top. Marks to underside include various impressed numerals and "Express" with "JS" to shield. Josef Strnact, Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia; and others. Late 19th/early 20th century. 6 3/8" HOA.

Motorist and soldier undamaged; Ottoman woman having some scattered flakes, some painted over, and a scratch to face; straw hat man having some professional restoration, a chip to interior rim, and flake to underside front edge; "Express" example having some restoration to forehead and hat brim.
