Description
3 1/4" Burlington Thebes found in Pettis County, Missouri. This is an interesting piece. When the Indian made it he followed a seam in the stone along the edge. The angle of where the seam broke off served as a bevel so he didnt need to flake it and used it as it is. The knapper had to think several steps ahead in the manufacture process to accomplish this if it were intentional which it appears to be. Ex George Wolf Collection. Key words: Ancient, Prehistoric Native American Indian Artifacts, Arroweads, Stone Tools
