Description
2 7/16" Finely Made Adena Dickson found in Hickory County, Missouri. Likely came from a bluff shelter or cave. In 1980 Missouri started passing laws regarding caves and how they were to be treated. In the early 1990's they made it illegal to dig in caves to protect bats and cave ecosystems. Prior to that there were a lot of people having fun digging in them. This point has a heavy patination on one side which is how many cave and bluff shelter finds dug up look. This particular piece is dated 1976. Material appears to be Mozarkite which if cleaned up would be much more attractive. From the life time collection of James Bond. Key words: Ancient, Prehistoric Native American Indian Artifacts, Arroweads, Stone Tools
