Great full page woodcut illustration on the front cover. Printed title page follows.H 8" W 6-1/2" Complete. Corners clipped, not affecting text. Age darkened. 2) Calender fur Bauern und Handwerter...1837...Carl F. Egelmann. Philadelphia...[1836]. Complete. Woodcut vingettes at the top of each month. Full page woodcut title page and printed title. Home made paper covers with owner added decoration and info on the front, and pasted notes on the inside. At the end, there is a story with a woodcut illustration about a dog who saves someone who was in a shipwreck.H 8-1/4" W 6-3/4".Wear, stains, some tears and folds as expected from age and use.3) and 4) comprise 2 copies of "Das fleine ABC=Buch...Bon Ambrosius Hentel. Zweite Auslage. Neu-Market, Schenandoah Caunty, Virginia...1819. 36 pp. Both books are similarly bound in 1/4 cloth with paper covers covered in woodcut illustrations. These are wonderful, early Primers with Alphabets, simple woodcuts, basic words for young learners. H 5-1/2" W 3-3/8". Collection of Laura Adams. One with wear and loss to spine. No end sheets.
