C. 1915, The Mills Novelty Co., Chicago, Illinois. Only 4,000 to 5,000 of these Mills Violano-Virtuoso music machines were made, this one made after 1912. It is a stunning piece of workmanship featuring interior lights, a 4-panel front glass divider and a deep finish quartered oak cabinet, gleaming with brass hardware. There are 44 inner piano keys with the viola magnificently sitting at the center. Invented by Henry. K Sandell, the Violano-Virtuoso plays perforated music rolls. CONDITION: Minimal wear, seen only at the base. Overall in very beautiful condition. This instrument has been recently tuned, with good viola strings, and playing nicely. Comes with 60 rolls. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (Very Good) Dimensions: 43" x 31" x 64".
