Good condition. 4) 1/6 plate daguerreotype of a boy with lace collar. Velvet pad impressed with southern photographer J.H. Whitehurst galleries, along with a number of locations. Tarnishing to image. 5) 1/2 plate of an elderly man with strong presence. Resealed with new glass in 1997. 6) 1/9 plate daguerreotype of lady in wall frame. Label for James & Co. 25 cent daguerreotype and ambrotype rooms, Boston. ID'd as Eliza Tenny. 7) 1/16 plate Union case "Children at the Gate". Some minor nicks. No image. 8) Early 1840s daguerreotype of a middle aged gentleman in fine clothing. Plate is marked 40 PLUM (cut off). Either supplied or taken by photographer John Plumbe Jr. 9) Overmatted half plate of an attractive young woman dressed in fashionable clothing and short hair. Remounted 1955, inscription on reverse.
