03.7.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1607: I note that both vases are presently intact, with the covers fitting comfortably within vessels, the bronze appears securely mounted and displays patination/ oxidation as well as minor pitting, I observe adhesive to the interior of both finials from their joinery to covers, and there is inherent crazing throughout the porcelain, one of the vases has a scuff to one side of the foot, and the gilt of the trim encircling the foot exhibits a tonal variation from the surrounding bronze, possibly having been touched up with gilt paint, examination under UV light does not suggest evidence of restoration or damage
