A Perspective Viewing Machine c.1800s An unusual Trapezoidal hand-made mahogany box with dovetailed joints and a brass two-part peephole lens, the lower element group convex, the upper appears later fitted. With side hinged, internally mirrored door on one side, and winding knobs at either lower end for transiting the paper panoramic view, with a rotating C-shaped brass handle to the other side. The panorama within appears to be an edition of Panorama des rechten Elb-ufers von Hamburg, however no publisher or engraver information is visible.
