AUGUSTUS MITCHELL'S ATLAS, PHILADELPHIA, 1859, steel plate engraving with hand color, published by Charles Delisver, "Entered according to an Act of Congress in the year 1856...Eastern District of Pennyslvania," engraved by J.L. Hazzard, with inset view of "Northern Texas on the same scale as the larger map," showing the panhandle including "Prariedog Town," with Kiaowa and Comanche Indians, and an inset "Map of Galveston Bay," showing surrounding Harris, Liberty, and Brazoria counties in part, in the Gulf of Mexico a listing of Railroads that are completed, partially completed, and in progress, within a foliate scrollwork border; 13" x 16", framed 19 1/2" x 22".
