A pair of George IV sterling silver salts, London 1826 by John Bridge (reg. 25th Nov 1823) Each of everted oval form with a gadrooned and acanthus quartered rim upon four cast scroll bracket lion paw feet adjoined by an ovolo rim. Traces of gilding to the interiors. Each fully marked to the side. (2) Length – 10.7 cm / 4.25 inches Weight – 399 grams / 12.83 ozt This form of salt produced by Paul Storr from circa 1810.
